About H5Project

About H5Project

H5Project is an online service for language teachers to create, host, and share interactive learning activities. Learners can open shared activities on computers, phones, or tablets without signing up, installing an app, or seeing ads.

H5Project is designed especially for language teachers, tutors, schools, and education teams that want an easy way to create, manage, and share interactive learning content. Learners can use shared activities on computers, phones, and tablets without installing an app.

H5Project combines classic H5P with exclusive tools created especially for language teaching, including Otzar for vocabulary flashcards and Activity Templates for creating activities from templates. It also puts a strong focus on right-to-left interactive content for languages such as Hebrew, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, and Yiddish.

H5P is the technology behind many of the interactive activities in H5Project.

H5Project builds on H5P with language-teaching tools, RTL support, Otzar, Activity Templates, and Learning Reports.

H5Project was created by a language teacher for fellow language teachers and their learners.

It continues to grow through classroom experience, teacher feedback, and real teaching needs.

Creating Interactive Content

Creating Interactive Content

Log in and choose what you want to create from the sidebar. You can start with H5P, Otzar, Activity Templates, or Interactive Cloud+.

You can create more than 50 kinds of interactive activities, including quizzes, interactive videos, drag-and-drop tasks, dictation, interactive books, presentations, and more. H5Project also includes Otzar, Activity Templates, and Interactive Cloud+ for language-teaching activities and live group interaction.

The exact H5P activity types available can vary, so choose from the current options shown in the H5P creation area.

No. You do not need coding skills to create activities in H5Project. The creation tools guide you through text fields, media options, and settings.

Yes. You can upload an existing .h5p file and continue working with it in H5Project. After importing, check that the content, media, and settings work as expected.

Yes. You can edit an activity after sharing it. Once you save your changes, learners using the same link will see the updated version.

Preview lets you check how an activity looks and behaves before learners use it. Save or Update stores your latest changes.

H5Project does not currently have one universal Publish step for every creation workflow, so the safest habit is to preview, save or update, and then share the link or embed the saved version you want learners to use.

Yes. You can duplicate an activity to reuse its structure, adapt it for another class, or create a new version without changing the original.

Many H5P activity types let you add images, audio, and video directly in the editor. The available options depend on the activity type, so preview the activity after adding media.

Yes. Activity Templates let you create games and interactive activities quickly using ready-made formats. H5P activities also include their own layout and behavior settings, and you can duplicate an existing activity to create a new version.

Sharing & Learner Access

Sharing & Learner Access

Share the activity link by email, message, course page, document, or learning platform. Learners can open normal shared activities without installing an app or creating an account.

If you want results connected to individual learners, use a signed-in or reporting-enabled learning flow.

Yes. You can embed H5Project activities on websites, blogs, course pages, and LMS pages that allow embed code. We recommend testing the embedded activity on both desktop and mobile.

No. Learners can open normal shared activities without creating an account. To connect results to a specific learner, use a signed-in or reporting-enabled learning flow.

Yes. Learners can use H5Project activities on phones and tablets through their browser; no app is required. For creating and editing activities, we recommend using a desktop or laptop.

Learners can open normal shared activity links in their browser. H5Project also supports temporary preview links and Learning Reports assignment links for identified learner workflows.

Opening an activity is not the same as being tracked by name, so use a signed-in or reporting-enabled flow when you need learner results.

Collaboration & Teaching Tools

Collaboration & Teaching Tools

Yes. With Teams, you can share H5P activities with approved colleagues and give them view or edit access. The original creator remains the owner of the activity.

Classes help organize learners, assignments, resources, and progress in Learning Reports. Teachers with the right access can manage class membership and class content. Learners can see their assigned work through My Classes when they are signed in.

Yes. Teachers with Learning Reports access can assign H5P activities to a class. Learners open assignments from My Classes or through assignment links, and reported attempts can appear for identified learners.

Learning Reports help teachers track identified learners' activity, including attempts, scores, and progress. Teachers only see learners and classes they have permission to access.

Anonymous activity use is different: if a learner opens a normal public activity without being identified, their work should not be expected to appear as a named learner result in Learning Reports.

Languages & RTL

Languages & RTL

H5Project is designed with right-to-left languages in mind, including Hebrew, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, and Yiddish. RTL support helps with text direction, alignment, and other parts of the interactive experience.

Because H5P includes many different activity types, RTL behavior can vary between activities. Preview an activity before sharing it, especially when it includes complex layouts or a mix of right-to-left and left-to-right text.

Yes. You can combine right-to-left and left-to-right languages in the same activity. This is useful for vocabulary practice, translation, bilingual instructions, and multilingual classes.

Create your activity as usual, then check “Page is Right-to-Left” in the activity settings. The preview reloads automatically with RTL handling applied, and you can turn RTL off again at any time.

LMS & Institutions

LMS & Institutions

Yes. You can always share or embed H5Project activities in LMS pages that support links or embed code.

H5Project also supports LTI 1.3 integration with Moodle. In a connected Moodle course, teachers can select H5Project content directly from Moodle and add it as an External Tool activity.

Advanced LMS features such as grade synchronization depend on the enabled integration and institutional configuration.

Yes. Reporting access can be scoped by class or learner group. Teachers and coordinators should only see learner results for the areas they have permission to access.

Yes. H5Project supports Moodle through LTI 1.3.

Teachers can connect H5Project to a Moodle course, select H5Project activities directly from Moodle, and add them as course activities using Deep Linking.

H5Project also supports grade synchronization through LTI Assignment and Grade Services (AGS). The exact grade behavior depends on the Moodle configuration and the settings of the activity.

Not necessarily. A Moodle teacher or course manager may be able to connect H5Project for an individual course if they have permission to add and configure course-specific External Tools.

A Moodle administrator may still be required for a site-wide installation or if the institution restricts LTI configuration.

LMS — Learning Management System: a platform for managing courses, learners and activities. Examples include Moodle, Google Classroom, Canvas, Blackboard and D2L Brightspace.

LTI — Learning Tools Interoperability: the standard that lets an LMS connect securely to an external learning tool such as H5Project.

Deep Linking: lets a teacher choose an H5Project activity from inside the LMS and add it directly to a course.

AGS — Assignment and Grade Services: the part of LTI used for grade synchronization between H5Project and the LMS.

In short: LMS is the platform, LTI is the connection, Deep Linking adds content, and AGS handles grades.

Yes. H5Project can be configured as a course-level LTI 1.3 tool, which makes it possible to run a limited pilot before considering a site-wide Moodle deployment.

Yes. With LTI Deep Linking enabled, a teacher can open H5Project from the Moodle activity setup, choose an H5Project activity, and return it directly to the Moodle course. Moodle creates the External Tool activity using the selected content.

Not for the basic integration we tested. Moodle can be configured so that the launcher’s name and email are not shared with H5Project.

Institutions can choose their privacy settings according to their own requirements and the features they enable.
