I am opening my first independent Hebrew courses after years of teaching at the University of Michigan, Tel Aviv University and the Middlebury Language Schools. I hold an MA in language teaching from Middlebury College, home to one of the most prestigious and expensive language-immersion schools in the world. After a decade in universities, I now offer online courses built on the same high-level materials and methods from these (and other) programs.
This is the first time I am offering my own online courses outside of universities (and other languages schools). Because these are pilot groups, the prices are lower in exchange for your feedback while I fine-tune the experience. This is an exciting new chapter in my career and your learning path.

Beginner Hebrew
From zero to reading, writing and speaking basic Hebrew

Small group of 6 to 10 learners
This course takes you from the very first letter to reading, writing and speaking simple Hebrew.
By the end of the course you will:
- Read the full Hebrew alphabet
- Write in print and cursive (דפוס and כתב יד)
- Type simple words and sentences
- Introduce yourself with confidence
- Hold short everyday conversations
- Gain basic vocab
Beginners Plus
You know the letters. Now learn to speak comfortably.
For learners who already know the alphabet
Two live meetings per week
75 minutes each, Small group of 6 to 10 learners
If you can already read, even slowly, this course helps you use your Hebrew in real conversations.
By the end of the course you will:
- Speak more naturally in simple real-life situations
- Use more verbs, phrases and core grammar
- Improve listening and pronunciation
- Understand short dialogues and audio
- Discover a few Israeli songs and cultural references
- Be ready to move toward the intermediate level
